A nonfatal shooting took place outside CIA headquarters in Virginia early Thursday morning, officials said.<\/p>\n
A CIA spokesperson said law enforcement responded to a \u201csecurity incident\u201d outside headquarters in Langley. The main gate is closed<\/a> until further notice, the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n The Fairfax County Police Department said patrol officers responded to the scene at approximately 4 a.m. EDT \u201cto assist CIA Police with traffic control following a non-fatal shooting on CIA property.\u201d<\/p>\n Officers were still providing traffic support midmorning Thursday while the CIA conducted the investigation.<\/p>\n The CIA did not provide additional details about the suspect or incident.<\/p>\n The FBI in a post on social platform X late Monday morning said<\/a> there was no threat to public safety.<\/p>\n “#FBI<\/a> personnel, including members of our Evidence Response Team, remain at the scene assisting our partners. We have no further details to provide currently due to the ongoing investigation,” the bureau added.<\/p>\n
